Ways to Give

Opportunities for Giving

At Christ Episcopal School, the act of giving is the rule rather than the exception. The benevolent gifts, which help to make CES financially stable both in the present as well as in the future, are used to support the school’s efforts on behalf of the students and teachers. There are several events and giving opportunities that one can support throughout the year.

Annual Fund

Each member of the CES community is encouraged to participate in this campaign. Like other independent schools, the CES budget is based on the projected generosity of current parents, grandparents, alumni, alumni families, Board of Governors, faculty, staff and friends who contribute to this fund. Tuition revenue alone does not provide the revenue necessary to operate the school. Contributions to the Annual Fund are an essential source of funding to supplement the tuition to provide a quality education in a Christian environment.

The CES Golf Classic

Individual and business sponsors along with golfers join together in support of a day full of fresh air and fun with 18 holes of golf. Proceeds go directly to the Diversity Outreach Scholarship Fund

The Spring Auction and Gala

This is an evening of food, friendship and fundraising. The proceeds from the dinner along with the silent and live auction go to support the operations of CES.

Episcopal Schools Sunday and Alumni Homecoming

Along with the annual Episcopal Schools Sunday service held at Christ Church, CES alumni meet and reminisce on a Sunday in October.

Grandparents’ Day

Held just before Thanksgiving, grandparents are invited to visit the school and to attend our Thanksgiving chapel as well as to enjoy the Thanksgiving presentation. This is a time to demonstrate one’s commitment and support for your grandchild’s future.

Major Capital Campaign

CES and Christ Church are just completing a 3-year capital campaign “United in the Spirit of Growth” to expand and to improve the existing facilities. $1 million was raised. Proceeds help with the build-out of the Jefferson Building into classroom space as well as a new choir room, nursery and refurbished dining room in the church building.

Diversity Outreach Scholarship Fund

The Diversity Outreach Scholarship is awarded to academically qualified students who comes from a lower income status and whose race, ethnicity, or national origin comprises a significant part of the Rockville community but is underrepresented in our school. This scholarship provides not only a valuable opportunity to the recipients but also enhances the education of all students as they learn to value and appreciate differences in others.

Donna Diamond Middle School Recruitment Scholarship Fund

This fund provides financial assistance and recognition to an incoming student at the Middle School sixth through eighth grade level.

Teachers’ Fund

Monies for this fund are provided through restricted gifts, memorial or retirement gifts to honor teachers. This is a way to demonstrate support and recognition of the important role of the CES faculty. This fund will provide additional resources to supplement annual salaries, bonuses, benefits and professional development opportunities.
